Tonia Mihill

Tonia Mihill coordinated the first Norfolk Black History Month programme in 2005, while working for Norfolk Education and Action for Development (NEAD). She has been involved in some way every year since then. Tonia is currently vice chair of the BHM steering group.

For Tonia, BHM is an opportunity for people throughout Norfolk to enjoy, share, promote and discover inspiring and enlightening dimensions of Black History culture that, without this annual focus, might well be absent or known only to a tiny minority. She sees BHM as playing a vital and positive part in creating an inclusive community that is understanding of, and confident in, its diversity.
