Sat. 17 October 2009 | 2:00 - 3:00 PM
Santería is a vibrant religious tradition, the result of centuries of contact in Cuba between European Catholic elements and traditional African, Yoruba religion. Orishas is the name of the Yoruba deities that have become syncretised in Cuba with Catholic Saints.
Join Guillermo Davis ‘El Iyawo’ and Caspar James (MA Religious Studies) for a lively discussion about the religion and what it means to its followers.
