Trade, Aid, Aids & Africa: separating myth from reality – a BHM lunchtime lecture
Tues. 20 October 2009 | 12:30 - 1:30 PM
Mention Africa, and for many it conjures up a picture of famine, corrupt leaders, aids and poverty with the only hope being through NGOs and aid packages. Yet after fifty years and allegedly billions in aid, so many African countries are much worse off. How can this be? What is the real solution? The answers will be given in this fascinating talk by Amal Abdalhakim-Douglas.
