David McAlmont was the headline act alongside Michael Nyman at this years’ Norwich & Norfolk Festival. He attended the Peterhouse Primary School in Gorleston, leaving for Ghana in October 1978.
David returns to his old school to sing and work with the children to create an original piece of work. There will be a performance in the evening at the school.
The event links with NEAD’s Windmill Project (part of the We Are Norfolk: East), which took place at Peterhouse last term, supporting the school in exploring climate change in a local and global context.
This event is by invitation only for the children at Peterhouse, their families and members of the local community.
This event is amongst 14 that were each awarded a bursary by Norfolk Community Cohesion and Norfolk County Council in partnership with the Norfolk Black History Month Steering Group.
