New Routes Mentoring Project with the BBC’s Clive Lewis

A half-term event for young people involved or interested in becoming involved with the New Routes Mentoring Project facilitated by the BBC’s Clive Lewis – to look at becoming a living role model and the ways to overcome barriers and achieve success for young Black people.
Clive grew up on a council estate in Northampton and says himself that he
went off the rails
until be gained a sense of purpose and of his Black identity. He was the first person in his family to attend university and became Vice President of the National Union of Students. His interest in politics took him to the BBC where he is now a reported on the BBC Politics Show and BBC Look East News.This event is amongst 14 that were each awarded a bursary by Norfolk Community Cohesion and Norfolk County Council in partnership with the Norfolk Black History Month Steering Group.
