The Official Launch of Norfolk BHM '08

- Programme: The Official Launch of Norfolk BHM '08 is set to be the biggest and best so far! The day begins with an African Market, bringing an exclusive range of traditional African goods and products. During the day there will also be a range of artists and entertainers performing in the amphitheatre outside The Forum, bringing a carnival feel to the streets of Norwich! The Launch continues into the evening when guests will be entertained by local and national speakers and performers. This year's invited speaker is Ms Linda Bellos OBE. Ms Bellos was instrumental in bringing BHM to the UK in 1987 and we are delighted to have her officially open this year's celebrations. During the Launch there will be a chance to find out about upcoming events during the month as well as sample the delights of our Caribbean buffet! Great Yarmouth BHM Launch / African market
- Date: Saturday 4 October 2008, 10 AM–4:30 PM
- Venue: Market Square, Great Yarmouth
- Price: Free
- Programme: Come and celebrate the launch of the sixth annual BHM in Great Yarmouth, with dynamic performances from Zimbabwean born singer, dancer and drummer Anna Mudeka and José Ferrera Mulen, whose Cuban rhythms will get your feet tapping! Capoeira Senzala are sure to delight with their dazzling demonstrations, and don't forget to pick up a bargain at the Open Trade Network's traditional African Market.
