Norwich & Norfolk Community Arts (NORCA)

Mission Statement

"We believe that everyone is creative, and that creative and cultural activities are a fundamental part of our lives. Through involvement in the arts, NORCA will offer people the opportunity and tools to be active, confident participators and creators, and help communities discover, develop and use their ability to express themselves through creativity. We seek to engage people actively in the creation of culture".

Norwich & Norfolk Community Arts (NORCA) was set up in August 2001 to increase access and participation in the Arts, and particularly to support the development of community arts in the region.
Our main priorities are:
* to provide Resources to community arts groups and the wider community,
* to improve Access to the arts,
* to increase Participation in the arts, and
* to provide the opportunity to develop Skills, at a variety of levels.

NORCA is based at the refurbished Waterloo Park Pavilion, which it has turned into a ‘grassroots ’ community arts venue. We aim to make the Pavilion a thriving and active centre that not only provides community groups with access to resources such as rehearsal and workshop space, but also provides a hub for greater interaction, networking and collaboration between groups and organisations. The Pavilion offers rooms and equipment for hire and is a fantastic venue for events.
